Obituary for Randolph Silver

Warrenton-

Randolph Silver, son of the late Horace & Nancy Silver, was born on March 10, 1926 and
departed on Friday, April 17, 2020. He married Alease “Evans” Silver and had 6 children, Carolyn Trumble (John)of Yorktown, VA, Arthur Silver (Hazel) of College Park, Md, Phillip Silver (deceased) (Venessa) of Warren County, NC, Sheila Davis (Terry, deceased) of Winterville, NC, Vanessa Johnston (deceased) (Eric) of Flintstone, Md & Addie Silver Alexander (Brandon) of Gaithersburg, Md.

He lived and worked on the family farm until he moved to Washington D.C. at a young age. He worked different jobs until he eventually started work as a maintenance engineer in Silver Spring, Md for Sam Eig whom he retired from and eventually moved back to Warren County.

He worked for the Haliwa Saponi Tribe and many times expressed how much he loved working with and for his people until the age of 88. He was also a Trustee at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memories a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great
grandchildren. Sometime later after Alease Silver’s (Mama Lisa) passing he met Helen
Richardson they formed a wonderful relationship. They remained together until he
moved to Warren Hill where he went home peacefully.

We would like to Thank and acknowledge all those who had taken part in helping Mr.
Randolph in his daily needs prior to moving to Warren Hills.

As his neighbor Denise Richardson said “We sure are going to miss you On the Hill.”

Due to Covid19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal Cemetery.

23rd Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me; Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Arrangements are by Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton.
